Who we are?We are dedicated to shaping brighter futures for young people
The Bantu Cultural Institute (or simply BANTU) is a non-profit, registered charity organization with extensive national and international experience in effectively working with children and young people utilizing the music, movements and play of Capoeira Angola as tools for empowerment.
Founded in 2006 by Mestre Roxinho, BANTU helps young people overcome poverty, trauma, as well as other complex behaviours that are rooted in violence or brought about by social inequality. We currently operate in different parts of the world with bases in Brazil, the Philippines, Australia and the United States.
